- Masses of red, pink and white daisy-like flowers

- Very easy to grow and look great in patio pots.

- Sow indoors March, Outdoors after the last frost

- Harvest: June-October, regularly cut flowers to encourage more blooms.

Cosmos originated in Mexico and South America and this variety was developed in the 1930s, when breeders first coaxed cosmos to bloom earlier than the native Mexican species. Cosmos derives it name from its evenly placed petals which led the first European Explorers to christen the flower "Cosmos," derived from the Greek kosmos, the word for harmony or ordered, or balanced universe.

Produces masses of daisy-like flowers in red, pink, and white above delicate ferny foliage throughout summer and autumn. The strong stems and long lasting flowers of this easy to grow annual make it perfect for cutting. They are a popular scented cut flower and really great for attracting bees to your garden.

Sow: Indoors from March onwards and outdoors after the last frost. Sow 3mm deep in good organic seed compost at a temperature of 18-24°C. Thin seedlings to about 15cm apart. When the seedlings are a big enough to handle, transfer into 8cm pots. Sow outdoors after last frost in a sunny spot in any moist, well drained soil at a distance of 45cm apart.

Grow: Prefers a sunny spot with fertile soil. Do not overwater or overfeed with fertiliser as this will suppress flowers.

Harvest: June to October. Regularly cut flowers and deadhead faded ones to encourage more blooms all summer.
